Group Structure:
Group 1: Young Guitarists (Ages 5-10) Group 2: (Ages 11-17)

Focus: Performance Experience & Musical Collaboration
Rehearsal Time: 90 minutes per week
End Goal: Each student performs one song at the recital.
Curriculum:

Week 1-2: Introduction to collaborative rehearsal dynamics. Discuss group performance etiquette, listening skills, and practicing with others.

Students will learn basic song structures, and rehearsals will focus on learning to play in time with others.

Director will work on song arrangements and assign appropriate parts based on individual skill levels.

Week 3-5: Individual parts and group rehearsals.

Students will rehearse their assigned parts while learning to communicate and adjust to group dynamics.

Focus on rhythm, timing, and blending with other players.

Week 6-8: Full group rehearsals with a focus on ensemble work.

Refining transitions, dynamics, and the flow of the performance.

Students will perform together during these rehearsals to simulate the recital performance.

Week 9-12: Final rehearsals and performance preparation.

Mock performance settings to build confidence.

Director will guide students in refining their parts and enhancing their stage presence.

Focus on smooth transitions, communication on stage, and building stage confidence.

Recital: At the end of the program, the students will perform one song they have worked on together. Each member will have their own part to play, and the performance will showcase their individual growth and ability to work as a team.
